Methanol is used as a raw material in the manufacture of many products with high added value in the chemical industry. These include products such as pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibers, dyes, synthetic resins, fuel additives, formaldehyde manufacturing, antifreeze, dimethyl terephthalate and biodiesel.
